Amsterdam - All that was taken has been lost!

I'm so bloody hell damn sad now! Wails! All the photos that I've snapped on my camera has been formatted away! Boo Hoo hoo!!! I'm so messed up now. £"$"$%"£$

Thinking that I've backed up my photos onto my desktop, I went to reformat my memory card to clear space for more photos in my coming trip to Germany the very next day. Normally I won't have done the formatting until I'm sure I've gotten my stuffs backed up. But this time, think I'm tired out from the straining overnight journey back home from Amsterdam that my mind must have been in space and I didn't realise what I was doing. (too much weed smoking maybe? HA) Imagine getting off the bus for the customs check 3 times flat in the cold wee morning hours!!! Noisy passengers and cramp seat through out 12 hours or more! What's worse, I've gotta get to work right after arriving in the coach station in the morning. Squeezing into the tube with the rush hour crowds with my baggages. :(

ARGH!!!! I just can't believe that this happened! My lovely photos of me in Amsterdam! The wooden clogs, the windmills, the fishing villages, the trams, the building, the canal boat ride, the people, the Heineken Brewery! ALL GONE! Boo Hoo HOoO!!! I'm so inconsolable now! I want my photos back!!! Sobs! Wails! ARGH!!!!

Anyway Amsterdam was nice apart from the fact of my deleted photos, we had a great time. Ate a lot of free cheese in Holland. :) But I'm still very sad now that I want to cry it all out! All the frustration just engulfs me up. Sobs. Miserable! I want to go back to Amsterdam again to get back what I've lost! It's lovely there. :(

The Land of Madame Tussauds

Brother in London

My brother flew over from Singapore to London for a visit on the 25th Nov. He's gonna be here for a near month long holiday in the UK and Europe. I can't say winter's the best time to be here for such a long holiday as it's freezing cold and short day lights. But this is the only long time he could get away for such a long holiday, so guess we might as well just make do with that for now.

Pity I didn't have much leaves left to show him around London as much as I would like to. So the first few days (he arrived on a Friday late morning), I tortured him and made him walk like mad and tire him out. *grins* On his arrival day, I brought him to the main areas of the city - Borough Market, Tate Modern (Art Museum) , Covent Garden, Tottenham Court Road, Leicester Sq, Soho (China Town), Piccadilly Circus. And for his first weekend, we went to Portebello (Flea) Market, Camden Town and Madame Tussauds. We even went to the Tower of London. Gee... That's really some kinda holiday isn't it? Poor brother of mine. Haha... But there's still so much more in London that he has yet to see - there's London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Spitalfields (Flea) Market, etc.! And there's isn't much days/time left since every weekend we'll be away in some parts of Europe for our holiday. And I have to work. Bummer. But to date, he's managed to get the some other museums - V&A, Science Museum, Natural History - on his own (while I'm at work). Hope he's having fun, apart from the icy winter and frosty fingers from the cold.

And for the first time in the 6 months here, I actually got down to trying to cook some RICE on my own for our meals. Haha... Also attempted whipping up more oriental chinese style meals for our dinner (otherwise I normally settle for salad, sandwiches, potatoes or pasta at home). Straining/tiring but fun to eat what I cooked and it gets better with practise. Haha! Now I know how hard it is for Mums to plan and cook dinners.

This coming weekend we're gonna be in Amsterdam, then Nuremberg, Germany the week after followed by Barcelona next. Woo Hoo!! It's gonna be fun and hell tiring. Can't wait!
