the Gown...

Few of u might have been wondering abt the gown im to get for being my fren's bridesmaid rite? well... here's the progress so far...

I met up with my fren last wed eve after work to go hunt dwn for the gown while she hunt dwn one for her tea ceremony during the customary wedding. It's the 2nd time of the hunt. The 1st wasnt really tat successful... though tat time i saw a dress tat i really like n wont mind getting since it was pretty cheap too [it was on sale], by the time we got back to the place to buy it, they were oredi closed. Bummer man! Nvm, will get it the nxt day or so then, but my fren told me to wait. Ended up not able to get hold of tat dress, wat a pity... kinda sad... boo hoo hooo... haha. So here we are out on the hunt again. *growls* hunt.. yeah~ This time we noe roughly wats it we r hunting for, so we were pretty quick n fast in the search. Started at Centerpoint Shopping Center, then OG, then Orchard Edmerald [saw a nice red cheong sum there which looked great on my fren, but she din get it cos its not cheap], then Takashimaya. We spotted a few nices ones n tried em on @ taka. Hmm but after trying em on, they din look as great anymore. So before our final stop at Wisma Atrium, we grabbed some ice cream [i had durian n dark chocolate... shld haf gotten the belgium chocolate with the durian instead.] for dinner. Yes! Dinner! Low fat ice cream. We've been trained for this "stunt", so pls dont try this folks... haha.

Okay so last stop was @ Daniel Yam in wisma. Again... kept trying on all the white gowns [well omsot all] i cld find. Finally managed to settle on this one gown. Full length, halter neck, bare back kind with a short "tail" trailing @ the back. overall its a pretty simple gown, pretty in its own simple way [on me that is. hahaa... so thick skin!]. Pretty simple, simply pretty. okok think u get the pic... but it aint cheap to me. i never spent anything like this on a gown b4 ever in my life! *Gasps* But lucky my fren offered to subsidise half of the price. Phew! I was happy n touched. She said she not only wants me to look pretty but also feel comfy in the gown n most importantly i must like wat i will b wearing. Awwww.... *sniffs sniffs* Then she shld haf offered to pay for the whole gown mah. haha... ok im jus being greedy! So i ended up paying abt $80 [after the gown was given a discount] for it. Could say it's a not bad bargain for me then. [hmm mayb i could wear the gown for syndy's wedding in future eh? heh heh...] Now i gotta get shoes to go with the gown.. oh man! headache~ even more shopping. tiring man~
